SubscriberCurrently in ANSYS, the shell181 element takes into account the effect of shear deformation, if I want to ignore the effect of shear deformation can I achieve this by not setting the Poisson's ratio or adjusting the transverse shear stiffness to infinity by a real constant?

SubscriberYou could override the transverse shear stiffness by using a large number in the first three real constants in the SECCONTROL associated with the most recently issued SECTYPE command for the shell181 elements. You can't set the value to infinity. If the value is too large, that may affect the accuracy of the solution.
Why do you want to ignore the shear deformation?
