How to fix Workbench when SpaceClaim DirectModeler is not accessible anymore inside Workbench but only standalone?

If SpaceClaim DirectModeler (SCDM) suddenly disappears from Workbench, while it is still available in standalone, the configuration might have been corrupted. This can be fixed with the CAD Configuration Manager with the following steps:  1) Open the CAD Configuration Manager with administrator privileges 2) Select the tab "CAD Configuration" and select the option "Uninstall All Products". This will reset the CAD configuration. It will not uninstall the ANSYS products. 3) Switch to the tab "CAD Selection" and select the flag for "SCDM or Discovery SpaceClaim" and any other CAD intefaces you want to install and configure. 4) Switch again to the tab "CAD Configuration" and now select the option "Configure Selected CAD Interfaces"  After a restart of Workbench the product SpaceClaim will be available again inside Workbench.

With this setting in CAD configuration manager, can I import Creo file in SCDM?

Yes, you can import Creo file in SCDM. Please note that import Creo file in SCDM will not import parameters from Creo.

For importing Creo file with parameters, you will need to use DM. In the same CAD configuration panel, please select Creo Parametric option with Workbench Associative interface.
