It can be useful to export Hexa volume mesh connected to triangular surface mesh from ANSYS Meshing to generate the volume mesh in Fluent Meshing. This is not the default behavior, user must set the option "Export Preview Surface Mesh" to Yes in the Details of Mesh under Defaults.

AdministratorIn Fluent we can directly write compressed file as *.cas.gz. Can we write *.msh.gz file while exporting mesh from workbench meshing? -

No, you can only export it as *msh file. Later you can read it in Fluent Meshing and write *.msh.gz file.Â

Ansys EmployeeYou can export only *.pmdb format from meshing. If you want to export other formats then you will have to have geometry in SpaceClaim or Design Modeler.Â
