I used to be able to edit the legend by simply double clicking on the number and changing it but it no longer works.
I also right clicked and pressed edit but that does not work either.
Any ideas if there is a setting or something I am missing?

Can you try editing the legend after closing and opening the project again?
Regards Ashish Khemka
August 4, 2021 at 1:53 pmmrlopez7SubscriberYes I have open and closed the project multiple times. It is not only affecting this project but rather the whole program.
August 4, 2021 at 2:15 pmAshish KhemkaForum Moderatorcan you try doing an APPDATA reset?
To do anAPPDATAreset:
a. Completely close out ANSYS (any and all open projects)
b. Open a Windows Explorer window and in the bar at the top input: %APPDATA%
c. Go into the Ansys folder
d. Say you are using v19.3 - Rename the v19.3 folder to v19.3_old (so that there isn't a folder named v19.3)
e. Launch ANSYS and all your settings will bereset.

July 28, 2023 at 4:00 pmSampat KumarAnsys EmployeeHi,
Yes, Sometimes the user has disabled the intel driver and tried with the Nvidia and solved the issues. there are users who updated the driver to the current version and rolled it out to the just previous version which has solved the issues. There is also a workaround for it, "Double-clicking" on the contour values, typing the values, and hitting "Enter" from the keyboard, but it would appear that this can't be editable, even though, after double click on the number and enter the value then pressing enter will edit your number. Let me know if it worked or not.

Hi Vivekanandan,
It's strange. I think this worked with every user who is not able to edit the number by double click.
Have you tried double click on the number and entering the number, Although you will not be able to see the mouse cursor and the number when you enter, even after entering the number, press the Enter button, and you can see the number change. If this is not working, then try to do right-click on the number and click on Edit, then enter the number, then press the Enter button from the keyword, and the value will change. Please let me know if you did the same as I have mentioned above.
Which Ansys version are you using?

Thank you Sampat. What you told works for me now!
The only thing is that, it is not user friendly as it deceives the user. Your team can consider this for improvement. I am using the latest version 2023R2

July 31, 2023 at 4:54 amVivekanandan ASubscriberDear Ansys users,
The issue is resolved for me by disabling one of the display adapters (intel or nvidia). Now I am working with intel disabled.
But I feel this is not the complete solution. The software should be able to chose the requried adapter itself. I will update after discussion with the Ansys team on this issue.
Thank you.
July 31, 2023 at 10:58 amVivekanandan ASubscriberThe legend editing is possible when I disable one of the graphic display adapters (intel or nvidia). When both adapters are enabled, the problem exists. But by using only nvidia we get an sign of openGL<4.5.
Ansys team should make sure that the program works with both the display adapters enabled.
Thank you
July 31, 2023 at 12:48 pmSampat KumarAnsys EmployeeHi All,
This was the bug and it is resolved in the 2023R2.
Edit the system environment variables in the search window of your system, then click environment variable, select a new user variable in the user variable, type the variable name ANS_USE_OPENGL_LEGEND_EDIT, and set the variable value =1 then apply this setting in the system.
I would recommend to restart the system and then open it. You will be able to edit it on your system.
