How to do rectangular mesh independent of extra edges.

I'm using ANSYS meshing to create a 5 by 3 rectangular mesh on a basic 5 in by 3 in geometry. The geometry is a rectangle with a 0.5 in inlet at the left side and 0.3 in outlet on the right side. I split both the right and left vertical lines to create the inlet and outlet named selections and the final geometry looked like this:

To get rectangular elements, split the face horizontally at the top and bottom of the inlet and outlet.

Won't that make the elements on each split face have different sizes since the inlet and outlet are different lengths? I want all the elements in the mesh to have the same size

Why don't you just use six Edge Sizing mesh controls on the three edge segments on the left and the three edge segments on the right and put the exact number of elements in each segment that creates an approximately horizontal set of nodes?
