I want to have part of the structure do a constant value heat generation. This part is inside the structure (shown below).
Does anyone know how to select this part from the whole structure for heat generation?
Â
I can see that there is a function option for 'Internal Heat Generation', but seems like I cannot manually input any function.
I feel like the most intuitive way is to define the self-heat region and select it in 'Internal Heat Generation', but I do not know how to do it.
Selecting the whole structure and use an expression to define the heat-generation part could be another intuitive way, but I do not know how to do it, either.Â
Really need some help????

It would be easiest and most accurate if you have geometry corresponding to the heated domain. Then you could make a named selection for that body and issue the command below in a commands object:
BFE,named_selection_name,HGEN,,10Â ! For a heat generation rate of 10
