SubscriberHello Lumerical Team,
I'm trying to configure a directional coupler with 70% of its power going to the PIN diode and 30% of power remaining in the loop. Is it possible to do that using s-parameters? Or there's a simpler way to do it? Thank you!

Ansys EmployeeHi Love
You can use s-parameter to do this, and I think a directional coupler could also do the job, you just need to set the power split ratio to 7:3. The element is "Waveguide coupler".

Ansys EmployeeHi Love
It's the coupling coefficient. The coupling coefficient is the field coupling ratio, so you will need to cacluate for the corresponding power spliting ratio to field spliting ratio.
