How to devide a surface using ICEM CFD ?

      Hi friends

I am meshing an aircraft. Since the geometry of the aircraft is complicated, it is hard to divide the solid body surfaces in design modeler or space claim (in the order to create a refinement at those surfaces later in ICEM)

So, the question is: how can I split my surface body in ICEM (for example the wing or fuselage )?

Can you please join some videos? I have searched but I don't have found a clear easy one ( I am new to ICEM )

      Thank you a lot

      Kind regards

Please create curves at the locations where you want to split the surfaces. Then make sure that you project these curves on surfaces. Then use Segment/Trim surface option.
If you are new to ICEM, I would recommend you to use SpaceClaim and Ansys Meshing. for aircraft geometry.
Please go through help manual for more details

Hello there, just wanted to ask if you have received any useful resources you used?
I am doing a similar project where I need to divide the surfaces to generate an unstructured viscous mesh for an aircraft for laminar flow in ICEM.

I need to refine the areas close to the surface and generate boundary layers, and would like some resources that talk about it.

      Thanks!
