How to create output parameter of pressure in Parameterization

      Hello all,

I hope everyone is doing good in this pandemic situation.

I am working on the sample model. It is as simple as a cylinder pipe. I want to calculate the pressure drop. But, with multiple velocities with a single diameter of the pipe. So, I want to use Parametric analysis for ease of work. Unfortunately, I am unable to get the Output parameter.

Could you please guide me or help me with the instructions (like which report definition should I use) to get the pressure as an output parameter or can I do it in different way?

      Thank you in advance,
      Raj

      Hello,

To create an output parameter, go to Reports --> Definitions --> New --> Surface Report --> Area Weighted Average. Select pressure under field variable and select the surface. Bottom left of the window, you will find "create Output Parameter", check that box.

      Hello Rahul,

I also have Pressure as a variable for Sum, Facet (Maximum, minimum, Average), Custom Vector Flux, and so on.  Is the "Area Weighted Average" surface definition correct for choosing a Pressure drop in the model between Inlet and Outlet?

      Thank you,

      Raj

      Hi Raj,

For pressure drop, area weighted average is right.

If it solves your problem, please mark the "is solution" so that others in the community can benefit. Thanks!
