SubscriberI am trying to measure the current vs time plot in the charge solver. But for that, I need a charge source inside a material that will appear periodically, and I will measure the amount of flowing current through the electrode. In solver, it is asking for .mat file. can you please send some example file?Â

Ansys EmployeeHi,
Thank you for your question. You are probably looking at the CHARGE monitor which allows you to export charge in .mat format (and not import it).
To introduce additional charge carriers in addition to the bulk material, you would need to use doping objects. Below is a video that provides more information about doping objects in CHARGE in more detail:

SubscriberI watched the video. But there it is not mentioned about how to write the .mat file and what are the information need to be there. Like as I want to include the time parameter here, like whenever the laser of light source falls on it, some charge carriers will be generated inside the material. So in this .mat file the contained information would be the creation time of the source and will last for a certain time. Please suggest some .mat files so I can modify them accordingly. Thank you.Â

Sorry, I could not find anything useful here. Can you help me by suggesting the solution, how to include the charge generation, which is connected with time? Like in the case of constant diffusion and implant cases, charges will be there all the time. Which I do not want here.Â

in this link, it is mentioned that "The file must be in Matlab format (.mat) and can contain a rectangular or unstructured (finite element) datasets.", my question is what are the data should I include there. Or do you have any .mat file as an example? Thank you.Â
