how to change a piece from 3D to 2D

  i have a piece in 3D and i want to convert it to 2D on ansys is't possible ??

  Create a surface in the XY plane if you want to do a 2D analysis.
  
  You can also use a surface in any plane in a 3D analysis and use a thickness property in the analysis.
  
  If you reply with a snapshot of your 3D piece and how you want to support and load it, I can give more advice.
