How to assign the same parameter to several components in Workbench?

      Hello,

In Mechanical, I have a model with tens of springs with the same stiffness coefficient. I want to parametrize this coefficient. The only way I figured out to do that is to first, assign a parameter to each spring in Mechanical and second, set the expression of all the parameters equal to a "master" parameter in the Parameter Set interface of Workbench. In that way, I end up with as many parameters as I have springs. I do not like it, it looks very messy to me. Is there a way to define a single parameter defining the spring constant for all the springs?

Not easily. Can you assign each a parameter and then make those parameters equal to another (dummy) parameter which you then give the value to?  We can in Fluids, but that's not overly helpful here.....

I wrote a script to do that, but Mechanical and/or Workbench crashes as soon as the number of parameters is more than 40-50

I use a workaround by not using at all the Parameter module of Workbench and doing everything through ACT scripts, a bit painful though.

Coming from Comsol where it is so simple to define a global parameter and use it everywhere in a model, I am perplex on why such a functionality is not implemented in Workbench.
