Hello community,
I want to apply the initial stresses of a previous Ls-Dyna simulation in a new one.
To achieve that I generated a dynain file and imported it via an external model and connected that to the new Ls-Dyna system in workbench. The deformed geometry and mesh seem to have been imported correctly. However, the initial stress does not get applied. -

Hi Marco,Â
If you click the Initial stress ( external model) and check the element-wise data given in the detail pane, you can see the stress components being applied for all the elements.Â
For checking purposes, you can check dyanin in LSPP and the initial state of the stress solution to see if there are any differences.Â
Cheers, RamÂ
