Subscriberhi,
I am trying to do simulation of curing analysis where with respect to time chemical reaction will build up.
but I am not able to use customized solid reaction in fluent.
the aim is to find degree of cure
can anyone know how add reactions of solid to get degree of cure?
Thanks in advance

Forum ModeratorIs that a surface reaction (to a CFD solid) or a process where the fluid solidifies (phase change). CFD definitions of fluid and solid can be a little different to the experimental equivalent.

Ansys Employeethat solid chemical component need to be considered in Fluent as "fluid" but having the "solid" specie flag. We have a standard tutorial dealing with CVD which describes the steps to solid species defined (as well as site species "place-holder").

SubscriberIt is a volumetric reaction. Initially, Materials are in a semi-solid state (Slurry or paste type). once they are mixed together reaction will start and the resulting product will get hardened. I want to check how this reaction will complete at 60 degrees Celsius temperature.
Can you tell me how to approach this problem?

SubscriberCan you tell me what is CVD and where to find this standard tutorial as I am new to this forum?

Ansys Employeewherever you are in Fluent "hit" F1, The online help opens, Then navigate to the Fluent Tutorials and search the surface chemistry tutorial.
