SubscriberHi, I'm trying to make a simple analysis. I want to add roller supports on both ends of a beam in Ansys Workbench. I tried it with remote displacement but it didn't work. The error message is: "Not enough constraints appear to be applied to prevent rigid body motion.  This may lead to solution warnings or errors.  Check results carefully."
Can anyone help me with this problem?Â

SubscriberEnes, one small change will make everything work. Both ends can’t have the X Component be free because then the whole beam would be free to roll away to infinity, meaning there is no solution. One end must have the X Component set to 0, the opposite end can be free.
Another way to do this is to create a center plane in SpaceClaim, cut the geometry in half and in Mechanical, use a Symmetry Region on the cut face at the center, then the one end with the Remote Displacement can have it the way you show and by symmetry, both ends will have a roller support.
