      hello everyone ,

please i want to know how ansys calculates these values in radiation model as shown in picture

and for example after 1 hour of transient solution how it calculates the ambient temperature ( T_amb )

Click on the Help button and see what the Theory Guide tells you. nAmbient temperature is something you need to define:the solar model is there to give a direction and magnitude, not to replace you setting up all the external boundary conditions. n

thank you for your reply sir, i will see the guide nbut i want to know somethingndo you mean that i have to enter the temperature at each hour at that day to ANSYS and ANSYS calculates based on it ?n

Which temperature are you referring to? n

nFor example if the ambient temperature at 6 AM = 12 C , at 7 AM = 17 C , and continue increasing till it reaches 40 for example nhow can i insert this to ansys to use it in calculation ?ni saw the Theory Guide it tells that :nDirect normal solar irradiation is computed using the ASHRAE Fair Weather Conditions method, when this option is selected in the solar calculator. Note: Equation 20 and Table 7 from Chapter 30 of the 2001 ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals.nnbut what about ambient temperature how ANSYS deals with it ?.n

That's what you add as a boundary condition depending on the options you choose. Ie convective losses through the glass. n
