I have a material whose strength values change depending on the direction in ansys, I am not sure how to define it. I will try the "Orthotrophic Stress Limits" section, but no matter what value I write in the "Compressive x,y,z" section, the yellow color does not change. What do you think is the problem and is there another way?

Hello,
Orthotropic Elasticity can be used to define the elasticity properties of any material with distinct characteristics across different directions. Additionally, if you want to define the Orthotropic Stress Limits, it is necessary to have negative inputs for compressive properties.Hope this helps!

May 2, 2024 at 11:25 amdada takaSubscriberHello,Thank you for your answer. Yes, I realized that I had to enter a negative value and this problem was solved. I have a new problem and I created a thread about it;/forum/forums/topic/how-do-i-add-a-material-which-properties-depend-on-direction-in-engineering-data/I guess the ” orthotrophic stress limits” section is not what I am looking for because it did not solve my problem. Can you also help me with the topic I linked ?Thank you
