SubscriberI want to inject cylindrical particle in DPM model. Can we inject non spherical particle without shape factor? if I want to inject non spherical particle in a channel how can I do it? thanks in Advance...

Forum ModeratorYou can't. The DPM model assumes spheres. If you need shape then Ansys Rocky may be a better solution. What are you injecting?

SubscriberThanks, Sir!
I want to study a single capsule of cylindrical shape conveyed by airflow or we can say the problem is pneumatic conveying of the capsule in a channel ...

Forum ModeratorWhich breaks most, if not all, of the DPM guidelines. Have a look at the Macro particle model (spheres only) or moving mesh with a load of UDFs for motion and collision avoidance.

SubscriberSir, I want to inject a cylindrical capsule into piping Chanel and study its flow parameters in the MAcro particle model on spherical particles that can be injected ... dynamic meshing is computationally very expensive.
Can I inject cylindrical particles somehow in the DPM model or MAcro particle Model?

SubscriberI have Installed Ansys 2021 R2 and rocky 4.4 but I am unable to couple these two because rocky is not showing in the ESSS panel of ansys...
can we couple these two versions or what can be the problem in coupling...
