Hello Team,nMy name is Neel Shah and I am trying to run a spray simulation on Ansys Fluent. nI have got a Ansys student version Ansys 2020 R1.nI have gone through many webinar of the same and I found that everyone is using workflow tool in meshing section. However, when I open Ansys meshing part I am not able to see any workflow option. Could you please guide me through this?nWaiting for your prompt reply.nThank younNeel ShahnEmail ID:- shahn3@my.erau.edun

Are you talking about watertight worklfow in Fluent Meshing? nPlease have a look at nRegards,nKeyurnGuidelines for Posting on Ansys Learning ForumnHow to access ANSYS help linksnn

Thank you Sir,nThis helped a lot.nSir, Can I somehow get the geometry please?nit would be really helpful for my further reference.nThank younNeel Shahn

You can easily create geometries using SpaceClaim. nThere are several videos on SpaceClaim. nPlease see help manual for more details about these commands. nRegards,nKeyurnGuidelines for Posting on Ansys Learning ForumnHow to access ANSYS help linksnn

I completely understand sir.nHowever, I am getting some issue in creating mesh and in setup for further simulation.nCould you please guide me for the meshing and geometry for following simulation: - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jefSyYfjxJMnI have already request for the simulation video, but they haven't shown the geometry and meshing part.nIf possible, could you please share me the geometry?n

That's a box with a hole in the side to let the liquid in. Geometry is easy, mesh isn't too difficult, learning the VOF and VOF to DPM model functions may take a bit more time. Making it work with 512k cells (Student limit) will also be difficult. There's a tutorial on the Ansys Learning Hub (or will be when it's finished) but you need a subscription to access that. n

Thank you Sir for the help.nI have one more question, may I know that how the center mesh is created? Like their is a single sheet of mesh in the center. I am not able to get that type of mesh. (shown in this video: -
)nWaiting for your prompt replynThank younNeel Shahn

That's a hex mesh, and is probably displaying the mesh on a surface to highlight the dynamic adaption. The image looks to be using the objects and scene tools from the tree under Results. nI've (just about) highlighted the option. n

Hello Sir,nSorry Sir, but I am not able to create that mesh.nMoreover, I want to discuss more about the geometry (shown in this video:-
). As you told that its a box with a hole inside it.nCould you please answer some answer so that I can create that?nIs the box hollow or solid? (if hollow, then 4 side or 6 side?)nIf hollow, how can we create a center mesh to show fluid atomization?n

Box is a hollow where fluid can flow. Hole at bottom i guess aligned so that the center lies on mid line of that surface. Also contact the author of video.n

Sure Sir, I would definitely take a follow-upnCould you please suggest me that how can we generate a mid-plane mesh? Like is it created in Solid-works or in fluent?nThank you Sir.n

Why do you need that? Just create a 3d box and split a surface to have a dedicated circular inlet. Also do a couple of tutorials.n

I understand Sir,nBut, I want to measure the diameter of the generated fluid particle. Also, from this video (
      ) I thought I have to crate a mid-plane mesh.n

You need to create a volume mesh. The video is displaying the volume mesh on a plane/isosurface/interior face to highlight the adaption. n

Thank you Sir,nnSir, While creating a surface mesh, I am getting some error and I am not sure what it for.nError: - Error: No regions were created. Dis-connected surface models are not supportednError Object: #fn
