SubscriberHello Community,
I am trying to model the hoop tensile test of a pipe ring made of laminates
If I use a Puck Failure theory only, the model is linear and converges to this solution OK
The problem is that when I include a progressive damage law, the same model becomes non linear and does not converge anymore!
Any expert or contributor in solving such composite non linear problem with progressive damage ?

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Note the error message about an internal solution magnitude being exceeded for Node 122158, Body SolidModel.1,DOF UX. You may try plotting the damage variable on that body. If it has reached its maximum value then it may indicate that the body is no longer being adequately constrained, hence the convergence issue.
