SubscriberI'm new to LS Dyna.. been taking online classes here and working with Ansys support team (Ram). Question is, how can i punch a 12mm hole in a hot forging? This caues quite a lot of issues with our real process so we need to model it close so we can duplicate the failure and then start iterating designs. The material is hot steel, its about 10mm thick. Any help apprecaited, using implict right now.
some other dumb minor questions.
- when dyna crashes in workbench, i can't use teh stress objects to see how far thigns got! and i can't see any results trackers. (i'm half blind its seems).
- viewing a partially solved file in LS pre-post, there are only like 12 steps for the entire 1 second problem! how to increase.
- Can you guys point to the dynamic re-meshing tutorial? i think this will be needed with the amount of plastic strain i'm looking at (2.0 at least)
Thanks! Jeff Check
