SubscriberHi, I am trying to simulate an actuator disk to show results as a drone propeller. Firstly I calculate the pressure drop of the actual drone propeller between upper and lower surface (see image) and now I am trying to set this pressure drop onto the disk actuator simulation by setting a plain surface with the diameter of the propeller as a fan. My main problem is that if I only set the pressure drop as a constant I do not get accurate results, so I would like to know if I should also set the swirl - velocity specification on the fan dialog box and if so, how can I get those parameters from the actual propeller simulation? Since I am a bit lost right now.
Thanks in advance.

Ansys EmployeeHello,Â
are you using 3D Fan zone?Â
Constant pressure is obviously just an approximation. Typically, this pressure drop will be a function of the amount of air passing through the propeller. Do you have only this 1 data point from the actual drone propeller?

Ansys EmployeeIf you can get velocity from your data, you can use it to set the pressure jump function: 7.4.20.3.2.4. Example: Determining the Pressure Jump Function (ansys.com)
