SubscriberHello guys, I'm modelling a simple box with a spring attached on a lateral face. I put displacements on other 3 faces (down - opposite to the spring - lateral). The box has a body temperature boundary of 90 ºC and I expect to see the spring deform on her axis. But instead, she's acting like a fixed support, and the box is not pushing her. Can someone help me with this problem?

Hi
First make sure the spring is body to ground and give a small stiffn. value to start with.
Then to do what you want put frictionless supports on all faces except the spring face.
Apply temp., and the spring gets compressed (say with 100 deg. C).
Use a spring reaction probe to look at the spring results
All the best
Erik
