Heat exchanger

      Hi,

I would like to know how, using Ansys, I can define an inlet and outlet temperature so that I can see the limit capacity of my heater.
In this case, I have a tubular heater where the water passes inside. This heater produces a power of 27kW that is applied to the surface of the tube. I want to set the inlet temperature at 5ºC and the outlet temperature at 60ºC, so that I can understand how much flow rate of the water I need to have inside the tube under these conditions.
Can anyone tell me how to do this? At the moment, I can run a simulation while imposing an inlet flow in order to obtain an outlet temperature. But I can't do it the other way around, do I need to change anything in the boundary conditions, what type should i use in the inlet and outlet.

You can't. Heat will pass from the fluid to the solid based on the temperature and flow conditions. You could use Expressions/UDFs to monitor the outlet temperature to adjust the inlet until you get to the desired value.
