SubscriberDoes any of the finite element models, such as the Detailed Hybrid III, have a deformable face for the evaluation of direct loadings on the face?Â
thank you -

Ansys EmployeeHello,Â
DeÂtailed LSTC HYÂBRID III 50th PerÂcentile has a deformable face. Please see https://lsdyna.ansys.com/lstc-dummy-models-overview/Â
For download please use: https://ftp.lstc.com/user/lstc-dummies/ (username: user, password: computer)Â
The dummies usually do not have calibrated face parts, so the its applicability in a direct loading to the face has to be evaluated. Please see a manual that comes with an LSTC dummy, the calibration tests are described there.Â
Thank you,

SubscriberHi,
Thank you for your response. I am specifically looking for a model that would be biofidelic enough to represent the biomechanical response of the human face upon direct loading/facial impacts. Are there any existing models that have been calibrated for this purpose?
Thanks
