SubscriberWhen I installed our Ansys free student version, it was saying we had no license. I have since gotten my account fully set up with my customer number, but in license manager it says I don't have a license associated with my account and we still can't use the software. Any suggestions?

Ansys EmployeeHi,
Ansys Student version doesn't need license file nor license manager, delete the ansyslmd.ini file "C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\ANSYS Student\Shared Files\licensing" if it exists.

SubscriberHi,
I am having similar issue. I deleted this file but when I run Fluent, I get an error saying "Unable to spawn node: license not available.". I have run Mechanical and it worked fine, but Fluent will not work

Ansys EmployeeHow are you launching it, you can use only 4 cores in student version.
Can you share your launcher's screenshot? -

SubscriberOh okay. I was told by my professor to use the amount I have on my laptop. I had 14 entered. Let me try it with only 4
