Hello Everyone i hope all of you are fine and doing well ,

My issue is that i have a (3Ds max) design for ''Air mattress '' as shown in images below ( i don't know the right way to upload images )

I need to import this files to Ansys so i can do the simulation for it ..

      The issues are :

1- I don't know which is the compatible version of Ansys that should i use ( because we don't take Ansys course in university) so what is the best version you advise me to work with ?

2- How to import it from 3Ds max to ansys without loss in geometry.

If any one can help me with that i will be very thankful cause  this is part of my graduation project and as a student i never use ansys .

      Use the Insert Image button.

What do you want to simulate?  What question do you want to ask of the model?

this is a design for Medical air mattress ''the most common design", air mattress help with prevention of bedsore cause of pressure ,

we need to improve this matters in different ways , new design ,durability and other thing needed ,

i don't even know how to import it to ansys or which ansys version should i use ..

i will put some valves and make better control for air air mattress to help nurses to ensure that patient will be 100% protected from bedsore

my file have .3ds format , i hope someone can help <3

So, probably Mechanical to look at deformation? Have a look on YouTube and also in ANSYS Help for tutorials which you will need to do.

Geometry will be taken into SpaceClaim, but I don't think we can read .3ds so have a look in the software and compare your export list with what SpaceClaim will read.

      Hello rwoolhou ,

File imported successfully with (.obj) , but what  Analysis system should I use?

how to  work with air flow into the cells?

does the format of file affect on ansys work , in other word if the file imported successfully (.obj ,.stl ) is there a deferential here ?

Write down a detailed plan for what aspect of the air mattress functionality or performance you want to study for possible improvement.  Describe the function in engineering terms.  Describe the input parameters that can affect that function. Describe an output of the function, what can you measure to characterize the function.
