What is the difference between the pre-post ACP lamination and the Granta selector?

Ansys Composite PrepPost (ACP) is an integrated tool in the Workbench platform dedicated to composite laminates modeling (Pre) and advanced analysis results (Post) using dedicated failure tools. ACP allows to generate FEM models with different lamination regions defined layer-by-layer, it uses the Ansys Mechanical solvers to perform implicit / explicit structural and thermal simulations, as well as fluid-structure interactions.
ANSYS Granta Selector is a powerful material database and selection tool especially if you need to replace an existing material with a new material. A number of filters are available that allow design engineers to select materials on manufacturing process, weight, cost and engineering properties...Selector contains as well an eco-audit tool, a synthesizer (analytical tool to estimate properties of composite/architectured materials...), an exporters to send materials data into your simulations.
