GPU A100 cannot be seen in ansys v241 mechanical and fluent:
We are trying to run Ansys mechanical and fluent of v241 on GPU server.
GPU server consists of two AMD EPYC 7452 CPUs and four Nvidia A100 GPUs, and its OS is ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS (Focal Fossa).
Nvidia driver is v520.61.05 and GPUs are seen by driver command such as nvidia-smi. (CUDA is also installed and it is v11.8)
Ansys v241 is successfully installed, however, any calculations are not performed on GPUs.
We had tried GPU allocation with each module, i.g., on the mechanical, proceeding Solve > Solve Process Settings > Advanced Properties and setting GPU resources. However, GPUs do not work.
Is there any setting we need for utilization of those GPUs?
Â
This would be very basic question, but we will be very happy if anybody reacts to this.
Thank you.

Hello,
Are there any errors in the output file concerning the GPUs?

Hi, George!
Very helpful for your response.
First, in the mechanical, following errors occur.Â
Do you have any ideas to fix it?
Â
At the same time, Broken pipe error is also detected on the command line. Like,
. ./runwb2Â
cat: write error: Broken pipe
cat: write error: Broken pipe
cat: write error: Broken pipe
cat: write error: Broken pipe
cat: write error: Broken pipe
cat: write error: Broken pipe
cat: write error: Broken pipe...etc.

Second, in the Fluent, the following warning message is detected on GUI.
Do you know how to enable to read "hardware-accelerated drivers" on the software??
Â
Also, when I am using GPU for calculations, how to decide properly number of threads?
For example, can I set the 32 threads only for 4 GPUs? Or I should set 4 threads for 4 GPUs?
Â
Thank you very much,,Â
