Hi, i have problems to open a dbs file with ansys 2021 R1, a message Geometry interface not found appears. It is a problem of license or i am opening the file in the wrong way?n

Array Are you running Ansys Student? If so, you would only have access to STEP and IGES files, and Parasolid natively within DesignModeler.nIf you look in your %TEMP%\.ansys directory there will be log files that will give more information if this is in fact due to a lack of license.n

The .dbs file you're trying to import, into which application are you trying to import it? n

Assuming he has an older version of Workbench it'll read into DesignModeler and he can then export the agdb file (DM format) for you to use. I'd suggest he exports Step as that's also recognised by CAD and he can check it's valid. Note, the old Gambit reader won't pick up mesh or virtual geometry settings. n
