I refer to the example on the official website and use the 2023 version of FDTD here, but almost every line of the script shows a syntax error.What's the reason for this?

In Line 6, there is no semi-colon (;) at the end of the line.

Hi Xie,

Before you run the script, make sure that all other files in the zipped folder (downloaded from the article) are in the same location.

Hi Xie,

This is a bit strange. The same scripts are working for me. I have downloaded and tested since you started having the problem. From your screenshot I can tell that the required files:

Lumerical_GDS_autoexp_functions;

Lumerical_GDS_autoexp; are in the same directory.

Also, can you uncomment Line 74? We need Line 74 to be able to run the script successfully? Or is it also throwing the same error?

I tried to uncomment line 74 and it still shows the same error.

And, I also tried another computer, unfortunately, with the same above problem.

Hi Xie,

Sorry this took me a while to figure out. Line 75 is incorrectly spelt. If you look at the folder, the name of the lsfx file is "Lumerical_GDS_autoexp".

So line 75 should be changed to:

Lumerical_GDS_autoexp;   

 

Currently it is Lumerical_GDS_autoexport. And please keep Line 74 uncommented. Let me know what happens then.
