Functional problem and mistranslation

  There is a bug into the SpaceClaim 2020 R2, that is connected to some mistranslations in Italian language. In each tab (Sketch, Design, Assembly) where is present the Select button, it is displayed the translation "Select (Seleziona)", instead of only "Seleziona". That longer translation probably brings some sort of overlapping with the small arrow on the bottom, so that the dropdown menu, containing the selecting options (Box, Lasso, ..., Component), doesn't appear or appears just one time. Using other languages doesn't bring any problem. So, the issue should only be related to the Italian localization. Supposedly, the problem could be located into the libraries "SpaceClaim.Foundation.resources.dll" and "SpaceClaim.resources.dll", into the "it" folder. Other than the Select button, there are mistranslations even for the Circle button, translated with "Circle (Cerchio)" instead of only "Cerchio", and the Rectangle button, translated with "Rectangle (Rettangolo)" instead of "Rettangolo". However, those buttons don't bring malfunctions. A graphic explanation is attached. We hope the SpaceClaim' developers will care of the issue on the next releases too, as for the announced SpaceClaim 2021 R1. Thank you.

  Your observation is correct. This bug was observed in 2020R2 first, and a bug ticket (329649) was filed, it seems like it is still not sorted in 2021R1 as well. I am discussing the issue with the developers and will let you know as soon as I hear back from them.

  Dear Charudatta Bandgar, there is a reference to the Ticket 329649 and it seems it has been opened around four months ago. That is a long time ago. It is quite astonishing that the issue has not been covered yet, even on the new 2021 R1, although it brings functional issues in many spots into the software, as other users noticed. It looks unfair that only the Italian UI didn't received attention through the development process. Please, request a patch being released soon. Regards.

    I understand this is unfortunate and based on the discussion I had with the developers, it indeed was expected to be resolved in the latest version, and due to some complications, it was not. I have reopened the ticket and will push for a patch. I will let you know if I know any more about it.

    Charudatta Bandgar Hello. Sorry, we don't undestrand why the old ticket has been closed in the first place, whereas the problem had not been solved. Currently what timeline is expected to get the patch, at least to have the dropdown menu back to work? Please, report that there are also some points where the translation itself has no sense or meaning in Italian language. For example, "Interna" should be "Interni" or "Interne"; "Apri" should be "Aperti" or "Aperte". Please, keep following the topic unti the problem will be soved. Thanks and regards.

  I hope you fix this soon, because Italian customers are waiting too long time, a new version was released without fix…
