Can fracture toughness analysis be done using ansys software? does it only use FEM or should it be combined with LS-Dyna or other analysis methods?

Hi,
There is no need for LS Dyna for fracture analysis, Static Structural is sufficient for fracture analysis.Â
Please refer the following links for more information:
5.5. Fracture Analysis (ansys.com)Â
ANSYS Mechanical: Fatigue Crack Growth Analysis using SMART Crack Growth (youtube.com)
Also, it would be helpful if you could specify whether you want to know the fracture toughness of the material or just do the fracture analysis...
Regards,
Harshvardhan
