SubscriberHello all,
Are there any specific mesh validation methods recommened by ansys for simulations run in fluent with meshing ? For example can we take a surface rake of points in the volume domain or is there any better methods to do so recommended by ANSYS ?

Thank you

Ansys EmployeeHi,
The best way to check for a mesh independent solution is to plot a graph of the resultant monitor value vs the number of cells in your simulation.

SubscriberHello,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I completely agree with SRP's suggestion to perform a mesh independence study to ensure that your results are accurate and reliable. Additionally, it's important to ensure that the quality values of your mesh fall within the recommended range. If the flow physics near the wall is critical to your simulation, be sure to add sufficient inflation layers.
These are just a few of the many best practices for creating a good mesh. If you're interested in learning more about meshing using the ANSYS Fluent Meshing Watertight Geometry Workflow, I highly recommend visiting the AIC website and checking out the learning track on this topic: Ansys Fluent Meshing Watertight Geometry Workflow - ANSYS Innovation Courses

SubscriberHello,
Is does 2023 R1 have rake surfaces or points ? If so where in fluent solver or cfd post would I find how to create and make a rake surface ? Thank you for your help.
