Fluent not writing to report-files

Hi,I'm trying to run a transient simulation using a previously converged steady-state solution. I have opened the case and data file, changed to transient, and made the appropriate transient controls changes but when I iterate nothing is written to my report files if I try to change my frequency-of to time-step. I can write the instantaneous values but I would prefer to have the final value of each iteration rather than each sub-iteration.nI have tried creating new report-files, with the previous report-definitions and with new definitions, as well as just editing the existing report-files to time-step. For the latter, Fluent throws the warning, Data for the following Report Files cannot be written to their respective files. Report data in file must be lower than current iteration/time index [file File does not have valid time index :current 0]. It will then ask to create a new file, if I answer yes, it'll iterate but no new file will be created. If I answer no, it will then prompt me to overwrite the files in which case the old files are removed from the folder but no new data will be written. That prompted me to change the iteration index to the last iteration of the s-s solution. That doesn't throw any warnings but will not write any data.nI have double checked that the file paths are pointing to the correct location and that I have full permissions to all of the files in the folder.nTYIA!n

I am not sure here as I do not understand the whole problem but I recommend following:nn1/Create new transient setup from scratchn2/Define the proper report definitionsn3/Read the Solution Data of steady state runn4/runn

To add to 's comments. Check the Report is set to per time step as the earlier steady part of the solution can flag later reports to be steady rather than transient (and report v time step or time not iteration). Also rename the report files and check the path, you won't be the first (or last) person (including staff) to save the monitors in a different folder.... n
