SubscriberHi,Â
I'm working on the meshing for a Conjugate Heat Transfer case. The geometry has an airbox, solid wall(vessel), and fluid inside the vessel. The first and third volume regions are fluid and the 2nd solid. I meshed (surface) the 3 regions independently, and then merged the objects and joined the shared walls. After this, the 3 regions were computed successfully.
I set prism layers on both sides of the shared walls, i.e. prism layers and cell zones (polyhedral cells) will be created on solid and fluid regions. The problem occurs when the prism/polyhedral auto mesh starts. The mesh generation gets stuck in the state "generating initial mesh..." (specifically at "deleted 914 unused nodes.") for hours and nothing else happen, neither an error message is shown.
I don't think the problem is the computational resources because when I mesh each volume region independently, it takes about 1-2 minutes per region.Â
I wonder if the prism/hexahedral generation on both sides of the shared walls might be the problem.
I attach the console messages of the process.
Thank you in advance for your help.
