Fluent meshing :ignore features for bad cell is it good to check it (volume meshing)

      Hello,nMoving the question to the Preprocessing thread for better alignment. nThe answer depends on how bad the cells are. Sometime, attempting to improve the mesh quality on these bad cells may produce an undesirable effect. This option is provided to avoid this. I'd suggest that you attempt to include these bad cells and inspect these bad cells visually afterwards. By ignoring these bad cells. you are glossing over the most important cells contributing to the lower quality of your mesh. I'd try to understand the root cause of why these cells are bad. nI hope this helps.nThanks.nKarthiknn

      thanks for your answer , so if i got bad cells quality and i found that they are at feature like hole in geomtry if i check that option it will ignore that feature as it doesnt exist ?n

      If you ignore the cells you may lose features. Ignoring a problem isn't usually a good idea unless you fully understand the implications. Fixing the underlying problem is a much better idea! n

      From the top menus Display>Mesh and under cell zones limit the quality range and on some/all of the cell zones. n
