Hello,

Once I launch Ansys Fluent I get an error saying it was not possible to locate the procedure entry point [email protected]@[email protected]@[email protected] in DLL(dynamic-link library) C:Program FilesAnSYS Incv211fluent tbinwin64libansysfluidscffinterface.dll.

I already tried to reinstall Ansys 2021 R1, uninstall Ansys 2021 R1 and install Ansys 2021 R2, reinstall all Ansys software, Visual Studio Community 2019 and Visual Studio Express 2017, and also tried to install Ansys 2021 R2 on another computer and the same error shows up everytime.

I was running a simulation for over a week until I stopped it today and tryed to launch Fluent again. The only thing i did that could have caused this was updating windows (KB5004237). Has anyone faced the same error and know how to fix this? Could this be caused by the Windows update or is it an Ansys bug?

This error shows up if i open Fluent through workbench and through the fluent executable. I don't have any problem launching workbench or designmodeler/spaceclaim.

@nunodelgado Some other (non-ANSYS) software installation may put older version Intel Compiler dynamic link library (e.g. 2017) files under C:\Windows\system32, including:
libchkp.dll
libgfxoffload.dll
libicaf.dll
libifcoremd.dll
libifcoremdd.dll
libifcorert.dll
libifcorertd.dll
libifportmd.dll
libioffload_host.dll
libiomp5md.dll
libiompstubs5md.dll

liboffload.dll
Rename C:\Windows\system32\libmdd.dll (e.g. to libmdd.dll.old) may resolve the issue.
Also suggest rename (delete or move) other Intel Complier dynamic link library files in above list in C:\Windows\system32, and notify other (non-ANSYS) software vendor not to put such files in C:\Windows\system32, since different applications may need different versions Intel Complier dynamic link library.
If that does not help, please also send the full output of running the "set" command from a command prompt.

Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunatly i don't have any of those files in system32. Regardless, the only modification i did to my computer was update the windows. I did not install any other program since last time Fluent worked fine. Also, I installed Ansys 2021 R2 on a different computer and the same error appeared. The 2nd computer does not have those files in system32. The Windows is updated on both computers.

Hello Nuno Can you change the PATH environment variable so that the PATH starts with c:\Windows\system32

Yes, this is the new output. But i still can't open or see the files you mentioned. I restarted the computer after changing the Path environment variable.

and I also had the problem and I solved it.
I ensured in the path environment this was first %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\OpenSSH\;
And then, I tried to uninstall Autenticacao.gov from the government app of cartao cidadao and restarted computer. It worked. I guess it was the gov app that created weird environment variables stuff I don't know.
If that didn't work, check this set output of a windows clean install with just ansys.

Hello everyone I'd like to second 's comment. I was having the same issue opening Fluent. After I uninstalled "autenticacao.gov app" and "autenticacao.gov plugin" and restarted the computer, Fluent opened without issue.
