I am working on implementing a crossflow correction to a turbulence model implemented through a UDF. I know fluen has the capability to model crossflow with the KWSST-gamma model, but there is not documentation in the manual or user guide describing what model is being implemented. Is there any documentation on what being implemented when "modeling" crossflow in ansys fluent for external aerodynamics?Â

That is the reference I have been using. The derivation fro the gamma model is there, but there I have found no citations regaurding crossflow transition coupling with that gamma transition model. I am trying to use this model for academic research, so I need to know what version of the model has been implemented before I can use the model for anything academic.Â
If you can confirm whether or not this definition of crossflow transition is proprietary that would be a great help.Â

There are a couple of references, 223 and 422 (Theory Guide) that may explain more.Â
I will ask if we have any more recent publications, but that will need to wait for the author(s) to get back from holiday: that may be a few weeks.Â

Source 223 is highly focused on the fundamentals of combustion. I scanned the partial copies online for any relevant information and found nothing. I dont plan on spending $30 for access to the full source since nearly every chapter is focused on chemical dynamics.Â
Source 422 is focused on reveiwing the derivation of the turbulent length scale equations for turbulence models. This is is also based on the previews online, again dont want to spend $30 on the source if it isnt gaurenteed. Nothing in the abstract indicates any intention of derviation of crossflow for the gamma transition model.Â
Looking forward to a potential update when the author(s) get back.Â

The people I need to talk to are out for another few weeks. I don't have access to the references either, so can't check the contents.Â
I'll update as I learn more, but as it's not in core documentation am a little stuck at present.Â
