SubscriberHello,
Â
I had a previous thread that seems to have gotten deleted. I cannot autosave on one of my models (get an error, cannot open file after saving cas/dat). On the other thread we determined it was case specific, and not the computer itself. We were also able to save via TUI command, but not autosave.Â
Â
I would appreciate assistance in figuring out how to autosave.
Â
Thanks,
Alex

Forum ModeratorWeird, don't think we deleted anything of yours. Not even sure we can delete entire threads..... Â
If autosave is failing but the execute commands approach I gave works it's got to be path setting in autosave. If it's case specific that's even more likely. Delete everything in the autosave path and try putting the files "somewhere that you know works". Also check the autosave name and include %i (iteration number) or %t (time step) in the save name.Â

SubscriberI did this and it still seemingly isn't working. I am wondering if it is because of transferring of files. I am going to try restarting the entire case from scratch and seeing if that makes a difference.Â
I've transferred files many times before though between different computers/locations and never had this issue.Â
Â
Thanks,
Alex

Forum ModeratorIt sounds like the path has got stuck in the solver: checking autosave settings may help. You may need to set the full path there to force Fluent to save in that location.Â

SubscriberI checked both and they appear the same as the set path and the actual path where the files are located.
I restarted this exact model from the beginning and it autosaved fine. I'm really not sure what could be causing the issue.
Â
Thanks,
Alex
