SubscriberHi All,
I am trying to simulate STEADY fluid (water) flow through a valve using Ansys Fluent with extended pipe lengths at the upstream and down streams. I have a seemingly good mesh with about 1050000 polyhedra cells and an orthogonality of 0.3; Ansys didn't report any meshing errors or warnings.Â
I must maintain a pressrue drop of 1 psig between inlet and outlets; I choose to achieve this by manipulating velocity at the inlet and by setting (static) pressure at the outlet to zero. I am using SIMPLE pressure-velocity coupling with Puedo time step enabled with a Courant number of 1.0. I also played around by changing URFs and yet surprisingly, my simulaiton is not converging even after several thousands of iterations.
Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
