SubscriberHi all,
I am designing a fixture for Vibration testing of component wwhich weighs 12 kg, i have read in steingbergs book where it mentioned the natural frequency of fixture should be 50% more than the max frequency exposed ( here it is 2000 Hz).
I want to know while calculating natural frequency of fixture shall we consider the weight of test component on it or not?

Ansys EmployeeHi
As this is not directly related to ANsys software usage, I can not give you an exact answer. Perhaps other forum members which have experience doing similar things to you, might be able to give feedback.
Suppose though the answer is in that book and their description of this design process of a fixture - also perhaps look and search the internet for more info.
All the best and hope that any forum members that have done such a design can provide more feedback.
Erik
