finding specific elements in mesh

I'm preforming a structural analysis of a quite complex model (>200 bodies, 100'000 elements)

I'm getting errors related to negative jacobian and incosistent normal

Is there a way to find the element n. XXXX in the 3d window?

this would allow me to see where is the troublesome geometry

I don’t think it is possible to locate the element of concern in graphics window.

To find problematic regions, you can right click on Physics task and select “Mark as up-to-date” and then evaluate the results for stresses, etc. You can then locate the regions for high stresses, etc and work on those regions to improve the results.

I'm not able to solve the Physics task because of the errors, is there a way to "force" the solution despite the errors?

      Hello proxicad

You may want to change the mesh settings and regerenate the mesh. Are you using Physics aware meshing? If yes, did you try changing the solution fidelity option in Physics settings?

You can also try generating mesh manually by adding Meshing task where you will get additional controls for meshing.

If you can share the model for further investigation, I can send you a secure link for uploading the project file. Please let me know.

      Hi,

I'm using manual mesh, I guess phisics aware mesh is teh "automatic" option, correct?

in case I can share the model

      Hello proxicad

I have sent you a separate mail with a link for uploading file.
