Subscriber🛈 This post originally contained file attachments which have been removed in compliance with the updated Ansys Learning Forum Terms & ConditionsHello Spaceclaim is a beautiful software very useful for importing external files and editing the files themselves thanks to its direct modeling. For files drawn in a certain way, however, it finds a huge difficulty in modifying the geometry in sheet metal mode. For files where there are junctions linked to each other ( as in the attached file), if I try to change the geometry I do not change it and it behaves incorrectly. It would be nice to be able to change the joints and drains of this type of geometries without problems. It would be nice if, after being converted to automatic sheet metal, it left a space between the joints and that the drains could be modified later. If you need more information please let me know  Best Regards -

SubscriberHello Robert , If I understood correctly, after importing the step file it isn't recognizing the junctions. Just to understand, I created a sheet metal file with similar junctions and saved it as .step, after importing the file, and converting to sheet metal, it did recognize the junction. I will share your file with the experts and get their opinions on why this is happening. Regards.🛈 This post originally contained file attachments which have been removed in compliance with the updated Ansys Learning Forum Terms & Conditions -
