SubscriberI constantly meet same 'engine error' when running parameter sweep. The file is completed and auto-shutoff is met. Is there any possible solution to this problem?
The error log detail is as followed:
[proxy:0:[email protected]] ..hydrautilssocksock.c (827): write error on 4; errno: 232
[proxy:0:[email protected]] ..hydrapmpmiservpmip_cb.c (503): stdin forwarding error

[proxy:0:[email protected]] ..hydra oolsdemuxdemux_select.c (103): callback returned error status
[proxy:0:[email protected]] ..hydrapmpmiservpmip.c (567): demux engine error waiting for event

Ansys EmployeeSeems to indicate issues with the MPI. Try to check your resource configuration, which MPI are you using? Is the simulation file stored on a local hard drive or a network drive? Try to 'Continue' the job/s that have stopped or 'Restart' if the sweep does not take too long to run. This should also run the sweeps below/after it.

SubscriberThank you for answering my question.
My computer uses Windows operating system. I currently am using Intel MPI, but the engine error also occurs when using Microsoft MPI. However, the error log displays different contents. It is probably somthing like ' fatal error code _0'. I don't quite remember. The engine error appears less frequently under Intel MPI.
The files are stored locally.
Only 'Restart' and 'View job details' are clickable when I right click for details and 'Restart' gives no response.
I now suspect it may be a problem of my computer that I don't quite understand.

Ansys EmployeeTry to use Local Computer as your Job launching preset and set the threads according to how many logical processors are on your machine. /forum/discussion/24720/ansys-insight-fixing-mpi-related-job-error-when-running-lumerical-simulations.

Hope this helps.
