Face Meshing Doesn’t Work On A Simple 2D Narrowing Pipe

      Hello,

I have a pipe which looks like:

It is 1 part and 3 surface bodies with shared topology.

In meshing part, I used size functions with bias factors on horizontal edges. Everything seems fine. Then I used face meshing but it didn't work. It looks like this:

      Any idea is appreciated.

      Best regards.

In DesignModeler, add new horizontal plane through the top of the narrow section. Rotate it so the Z axis points up then slice all bodies to get 5 bodies in one part. Face meshing will then give you what you want.

Thank you very much. I figured out except one thing. There is a pop-up message that says:

'The specified defeaturing tolerance was found to be larger than a specified size. The elements on one or more edges may be defeatured out.'

You want to set Mesh Defeaturing to No, since it is simple geometry. Defeaturing is useful on complex solid models that have small irrelevant details.
