How can I get material properties for an Explicit Dynamics analysis? Material I want to use is not in library. Is there a suggested lab I can send material tension bars for experimental results?

Hi George,
Can you please name the material? It might be easier for forum members to comment based on the material.

If the material tension bar test refferred to in your post is a static test, most of material testing labs are able to conduct such tests.Â
If the tension bar tests you are interested in are at specific strain rates, you need to go the testing labs that are speializing material testing at various strain rates.Â
ANSYS DYNAmore offices have such capability. See their web site at: Â https://www.dynamore.de/en/services/material-competence-center
