Bbp_participantIm doing simulation for flat plate pool boiling using eulerian eulerian 2phase, using RPI model. But as soon as i get to the point of detachment of the vapor and as the sudden heat flux increases the FPE occurs. Ive tried Y+ meshing solving. URF's too. But it occurs. Also it never converges.
This is the paper im trying to validate for Flat plate(Cw=1). If anyone could help me out please. Thank you. And if im missing something

SubscriberThe RPI boiling model is only validated for forced covection in vertical tubes. It is not appropriate for your case. Fluent has no general purpose boiiling model. The only general purpose phase change model is the Lee model which requires you to tune the rate factors. You can try turning on the semi-mechanistic boiling model for Lee which will modify the heat flux at the wall to account for boiling. However, there is no guarantee that the corellatons it is using will be appropriate for your case.

Bbp_participantThe paper i mentioned did use the RPI model for their case to validate the studies.
