SubscriberHello, everyone!
I have created a simple model (a beam with 4 bolts) using SolidWorks. Then it was exported it to Ansys via IGES format. I created connections (frictional for bolt-body and nut-body and bonded for bolt-nut). Then i applied bolt pretension for bolt bodies and started to solve the task. And i have abrupt interruption of solving. In Solver Output i have 2 errors: "No pretension elements have been created. Please make sure that your input satisfies the pretension section definition requirements" and "THE PRETENSION LOAD WAS NOT ABLE TO BE APPLIED. MAKE SURE THE LOAD WAS NOT APPLIED TO A HOLE AND THAT THE LOAD IS NOT APPLIED MORE THAN ONCE PER SURFACE". I have tried to find the mistake, but i cant. So, what can be reason of it?
Image of model with applied pretensions is attached.
P.S. English is not my native language, so i'm really sorry for my mistakes.Â

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Due to company policies, Ansys employees cannot download any attachments. Could you use the "Insert Image" option to insert images directly into the post? I am assuming you used the Bolt Pretension Object to define bolt pretension. Could you select that in the model tree and take a snapshot (so we know the location where the bolts were split to apply the pretension)?

SubscriberHello, everyone!Â
I watched all the videos i have found, but there were no answers for my question. So, i tried to solve this task myself and i found solution: the problem was with Coordinate System i chose for bolts pretension. So, i created local system defined by bolts geometry and i chose this system for bolts pretension. And the task was solved without any troubles.Â
