[ERROR] The Quad Mesher failed on one or more faces.

      Hi,

i want to evaluate the velocity variation inside a heat exchanger with a simple 2D model, but while while meshing i get this error: The Quad Mesher failed on one or more faces. I can't figure it out what it exactly means, but I have read some edge size applications to solve it. It didn't work for me. This is half model:

How much space is there between the tubes?

      Tubes are tangents.

What shape of quad element do you expect to be created? Feel free to sketch on paper and report back.

i have created really small elements and it still wasn't possible. So a simple change to tetrahedral solved it.

      Thanks Rob.

It won't be, and I suspect the skew on the tri elements is fairly high. In CFD terms I'd tend to expand the contact region a little bit to remove the tangential intercept: I'm a little surprised the CAD worked too as that's a "non manifold body" and tends to cause problems.
